Most games with a perfect passer rating of 158.3: 5
Most seasons with 350+ completions: 10
Most games completing 80-percent passing: 19
Most game-winning drives: 56
Most comeback wins: 45
Highest completion percentage in a postseason game with 450+ yards (2005): 81.8

One of two quarterbacks to ever beat all 32 teams (along with Brett Favre)
First quarterback to beat 31 franchises: 2007
Most Associated Press NFL MVP awards: 5 (2003, 2004, 2008, 2009, 2013).
Only QB in NFL history to lead two franchises to Super Bowl wins.

I understand the argument for Brady, but Mannings accomplishments are second to none imo.

In a word, yes. Peyton got drafted first overall to a terrible team with poor leadership and never had a Bill Belichick or a great defense other than 2006 with Bob Sanders and 2016 with Von Miller. Meanwhile, Brady has had a HOF coach his entire career and won 3 SuperBowls before he even knew how to play the position as a game manager.

Trying to define "all time" is worse than "how high is up?"

Unitas has a claim to the title. P Manning has a claim to the same title. Brady has a case to be made as well. Otto Graham could come up in some discussions. Each was the best of his own era. Rules change. Teams evolve. Rest assured that Peyton Manning is/was the best of his era.

IMO, this is the best answer.

He is, to me.

Yep, there are several that you can make an argument for but PM has 1 thing that *I value more. His ability to run an offensive. Some come close, some rely completely on the HC or OC.
Manning is just a great field commander.

Plus he's a Vol so win/win.

GOAT is kind of a pointless argument. But I would NOT put any other QB above Peyton. Certainly not Montana (whose stats Peyton nearly doubled) or Brady (who will have to play 3 more seasons than PM to match him) -- just because they played on better teams.

Drew Brees is in a better position than Brady to break all of Peyton's records and no one ever talks about him.

Yea.

I always hated this argument/discussion.

He isnt the GOAT but who cares. He's the GOAT in my heart.

He's #1 all-time in the history of the game in just about every statistical category that's ever been created to quantify individual performance at the QB position.

So you should feel free to use your brain as well as your heart.

Who played the majority of his career in a pass happy offense in a division where they were pretty much always the best team for over a decade. So, you should feel free to go **** yourself.

Shouldn't we just create a poll on VN? That should settle it scientifically for all to see.

Angela Rypien needs to be looked at

I did some deep research into her body of work and realized she should be #1 and #2 on this list.

All joking aside, Manning is #3 all time behind Brady and Montana. It's the same reason why LeBron will never pass Jordan. Jordan shined the best when the lights were the brightest while LeBron would not take a shot when the Warriors went on that huge 2ndQ run that sealed the series in Game 5.
