I thought it would be interesting to know what some of VN's favorite plays in Tennessee football.

This is one of mine, and I will probably add to it shortly. I remember saying to myself that I hope they try to run one more play before just kneeling on ball if they did not fumble on this play, it's over.

Could not find just clip of the play but would also add Mose Phillips touchdown vs Florida in pouring rain!

Call it whatever you want. It was friggin Epic. The play and the emotions I went through including the satisfaction of seeing the disappointment in the faces of Georgia fans and players.

What Im saying is, it is at the top of my list of favorites.

RE the Arkansas play -- why were they passing to begin with ? That and the Dobbs HM are my favorite of all time

First, this play -- when I think of Josh Dobbs, I will forever think first and foremost of his incredibly elusive running and scrambling ability, his skill at turning nothing (in this case, a bad snap) into something great.

...and...

(hmm, link works but in-browser viewing not working, don't know why -- this is the Tee Martin to Peerless Price NC game pass down the right sideline that put the game away...awesome!)

Jennings is a human highlight reel and he isn't even out of college yet.

The accuracy had to be on point in order for this catch to be made. Of course Jennings deserves credit but this play was all on Dobbs.

Jauan Jennings and Josh Dobbs will be part of Tennessee folklore for generations to come.

Mike Terry's interception against Bama to end the streak.

Dale Carter's 2nd half opening kickoff return for a touchdown against FL to open up a can of whoop azz.

The opening play vs. Bama in '95 is one of my favorites. Manning to Kent!

Also, Dale Jones' int against Bama in '85 is a Vol classic as well.

There was 1:47 left and UT had 1 timeout. Had Ark ran the ball twice and punted, that would have taken 60-65 seconds. Assuming the punt was a touchback (they had issues punting that day), UT would have had around 40-45 seconds to go 45-50 yards for GW FG attempt.

Im just glad it worked out the way it did -- TD and no FG to make or miss

Stoerner was not going to pass, they were just rolling him out to run more time off clock than just kneeling on ball.

Also, on side note, there is a movie about that lineman that Stoerner tripped over. True story btw, and great movie.

The movie is called "Greater"

That's my second favorite of all time. My fav is the second half kick-off return against Fla in '90.

Two things I remember about that sequence....

1. I won bet (free shots) by saying we'd get ball back with at least 40 seconds to go. I needed more (free) alcohol at that time like I needed a hole in my head.

2. I saw the formation and said "If this is is a pass play, we're ******". Shows how little I know.
