Guys, welcome to the 13th annual weekly pick contest, which will last the entire season and consist of 13 weekly entries.

Each week I will select 10 games from around college football, which will be posted on Sunday (or Monday at the latest). I will not include any Thursday or Friday games, just to keep things consistent with the entry deadline.

All entries will be due before noon (Eastern Time) on Saturday.

The season winner will receive a $300 Amazon gift card.

Please post in this thread if you have any questions, suggestions, or comments.

Also, I strongly suggest setting up a recurring reminder on your computer or phone. If you miss a week, you can still have fun competing with other members, but it will be really hard for you to win the contest.

I defiled myself in Week 1 by picking Kentucky to win.

Yet, it gets worse, as I am picking the Gamecocks in Week 2.

I'm going a different direction in the early season. Whoever I think will win I'm picking the opposite. In early October I'll have a better feel for who plays well and who sucks.

Do I see week 1 on here? It's week 2! Where's the matchups for this week? Am I missing something?

Man...KY, LSU, and Okla really screwed a bunch of us. There would be a lot of perfect scores had those 3 handled business. (I'm actually glad that all 3 lost in the big picture).

HAHAHAA - I actually got halfway down the page before I realized that i was picking last week... :)

So here is how I landed this week and my rationale:
TCU - I don't think Arky's D can hang with a points machine
Penn St - P State's D is slightly better right now
Cincy - Purdue is improved, but not that much
NC St - Almost went for E Car, but I don;t think the new coach gets his first W here
Duke - They are better in all 3 phases right now
MTSU - It's Vandy...unless Vandy buries them early I look for MTSU to pull this one out
Ms St - Don't think Ms St has dropped off that much without Prescott - they figure some things out this week
TENNESSEE - look for us to be prepared to play in this one
N Carolina - Lovie ball takes it's first loss, too much baggage from the last couple years
Tx Tech - Especially if it turns into a shooting match.
