USA Today released the pay chart for the FBS school's and their respective coaches. Of course Nick Saban was at the top making the most at $7,087,481. But what I found interesting were the coaches that are surrounding Butch Jones.

Mark Dantonio - Michigan St:$3,671,520 5-0
Mike Gundy -Oklahoma St :$3,650,000 5-0
Butch Jones :$3,610,000 2-3
Chris Petersen -Washington:$3,400,000 2-2
Jim Mora -UCLA:$3,350,000 4-1
Dabo Swinney -Clemson :$3,300,000 5-0
Mark Stoops -Kentucky:$3,250,000 4-1

Those coaches combines records right now leaving out Jones are 25-4. So the question to Vol Nation is do you believe Tennessee is getting what they paid for in Butch Jones at this point in the season?

Nope. Obviously our AD never heard the phrase "good $ after bad"...

Following Dooley Buyout...we get Dooley 2.0 for even MORE $s...

Of course not...that's why so many of us are so disappointed.

Whats disappointing is when you see who the 14 wins are against.

Whats even more disappointing is he played this university for more money after a 6-6 season.

And the thing that tops all of these is Dave Hart has 10 million reasons not to fire him.

Now total those same coaches W-L records over their first 3 years at current school. You will find their records very comparable to Butch Jones.

TN got someone who had marginal success in the Big East that was awarded co-conference champion plaque.

In Jan of this year almost everyone if not everyone on Volnation was screaming that we better pay Jones and his assistants. Now it's the AD's fault for giving him a raise. Some people just want to complain 24/7.

I actually laughed at the Michigan rumor, Hart should have called his bluff.

Between those other 6 teams, they are a combined 2-2 vs ranked teams. We barely lost to 2 undefeated teams. Put us in their conference with their schedules and it would be different

The Michigan rumor had nothing to do with Butch getting a raise. He was going to get a bump regardless otherwise he would have been the lowest paid coach in the SEC (excluding Vanderbilt).

So outside Mora about the same as Butch through 3 years. Not saying Butch is worth his salary or not but fact is he isn't overpaid if you consider his salary is no higher than 11th in the conference.
