UT has 138 points over its first three games, marking its most through three games since scoring 171 to start the 1914 season.

The Vols have a scored 50-plus points in two of their first three games in a season (59 vs. Bowling Green and 55 vs. Western Carolina) for the first time since 1914.

The Vols rank second in the SEC and 13th in the NCAA in points per game (46.0).

Led by Jalen Hurd (100.0 yards per game) and Alvin Kamara (65.0), the Vols are rushing for 246.0 yards per game, third in the SEC and 17th in the NCAA.

Hurd has rushed for 100 yards in three of the last four games, including three in a row (122 vs. Iowa, 123 vs. BGSU, 109 vs. OU).

Last Saturday, the Vols had a kickoff return and punt return for touchdown in the same game for the first time since 1950 as Evan Berry had an 88-yard kickoff return for TD and Alvin Kamara had a 50-yard punt return for a score.

Kamara became the second Vol ever with a rushing and punt return touchdown in the same game, joining Stanley Morgan vs. Maryland in 1975. Kamara's punt return TD came on his first-ever punt return (including high school, junior college)

Evan Berry leads the nation in kickoff return average with 45.8. Tennessee ranks third in the NCAA and first in the SEC in kickoff return average with 39.3 yards per return.

The Vols are 17th nationally and second in the SEC in punt return average at 19.9 per return.

Trevor Daniel is fourth in the NCAA and leads the SEC in punting average at 47.6 with eight of 16 punts travelling 50-plus yards.

Since 1970, Tennessee has beaten Florida 8 times (I think 6 games were played from 70-89).

It appears a win is a pretty good omen for the season.

Year W/L Bowl Final AP Rank
1970 - 11-1 Win sugar #4
1971 - 10-2 Win liberty #9
1990 - 9-2-2 Win sugar #8
1992 - 9-3 Win hall of fame #12
1998 - 13-0 Win fiesta NC #1
2001 - 11-2 Win citrus #4
2003 - 10-3 Lose peach #15
2004 - 10-3 Win cotton #13

Avg. W/L........................10.375/2
Bowls.............................7-1
Avg Final AP Rank............8.25

67 of the Vols rode in an airplane the first time. 63 learned how to flush gators in an airplane closet!

Last night you'll endure of a Florida loss. A years worth of sleep of a win over the Gators starts tomorrow.

Yeah but he'll be too high to sleep tomorrow night also. Stay up all night watching the same victory over and over ( to make up for some past frustration!)
Go Vols!
