| Yeah! What exactly did Saban do at Mich. State? I know he was a hot coaching candidate but, he when was at LSU he had plenty of home grown talent to choose from. It's not like he was recruiting talent in Idaho. |

That's pretty good, eh?
The last time LSU won the SEC was back around 1988.
Not to mention what he would have done had he stayed with all of the talent they have now. |

Apparently if it doesn't work, Petrino has the latitude to pull the trigger and have him traded. Mora apparently didn't have this empowerment from Blank.
Also, I think it will be a while before Petrino goes back to college. I think this is what he has been waiting for. He has been the top candidate for a while in all the NCAA coaching vacancies and didn't budge. |

| | Absolut Orange | Petrino is the best the Falcons will ever do as a coach. Dan Reeves was good. Just a little late in the career and health to do much more than he did. Falcons are notorious for bum headed moves. This was a very good hire for them, and their image.

don't forget, Shula didn't get fired for 6-6. Shula got fired b/c of his w/l record against Auburn.
If they beat Auburn this season, Shula is still the head choach, and there is no doubt in my mind about it.
in relation to championships, i don't think anyone expects anything immediate.
