Shifting Creamer over to WR until Croom/others get healthy since he seems to be behind Wolf and Ellis? They are about the same size give or take a couple of inches and LBs, and that would give us another WR with a little more size/weight for opposing DB's to bounce off of after the catch.... He seems to be lost in the shuffle at finding a home on the field and thought maybe this would be a fit.

Meh. We have enough depth there to hold out until others return. Thankfully Pearson got reinstated and Jennings is looking promising. Plus dont forget about Smith and Johnson. They will surprise some people now since they are back and healthy.

Considering that our depth at WR is better than our depth at TE at the moment, I seriously doubt it.

I think they would put him on the O-Line before putting him with the receivers, that position is too deep.

Thanks- Know we are still stacked at WR, just trying to find a home for Creamer. Didn't really think about the depth chart at TE with Wolf and Ellis there.

Teach him how to block on the O-Line and give Dobbs enough time to throw to the already deeply talented cast of Wide Receivers we have...would be a GREAT idea...

With Hurd at TE, I think we can afford to shift Creamer to WR, sure, why not?

And that will ease up the need at WR enough to shift Jennings back to QB. Once we've done that, Sheriron can go to DB, which frees Ev. Berry to join his brother at LB. Weatherd goes to DLine which frees up KMac to OLine.

By making this Creamer move, we solve the OLine problem. It just makes sense.

Creamer is trying to still learn TE and is needed there. They play several 3 TE formations. Will stunt his TE growth trying to throw WR at him at this point.

At this point WR help not needed also.

Epic fail

We have some pretty dopey posts sometimes that warrant this kind of response, but this post is not one of them. It is a sincere and relatively rational question about how to deal with depth, injuries, and finding a home for a player who has already been moved once.

This is not to say that there is any real chance that Creamer moves to WR. He isn't. But, the question isn't as ridiculous as asking whether Butch should be fired for trying to play Thomas at RT.

But back to the OP: if Preston had not been cleared, and if Jennings had not ended up looking like the ideal 5-star freshman WR, then perhaps some of those types of moves would be considered. But with them, we have quite a few top flight talents at WR, and enough depth to handle some injuries. Moreover, with Pig coming back in time for the real action, we should be quite alright.

Somebody called into Swain the other day and asked, seriously mind you, if we should move the 6'1 216 lb Josh Smith to tightend since he's put on 15 lbs since last year............yes, it was a serious question. This thread topic almost rivals that IMO.

That guy is either the funniest man ever and it went over our heads, or he is just plain stupid

Considering we have heard nothing about Creamer during Spring and now during Fall camp about being a TE.. doesn't not seem likely to move to WR would have much impact over the next 6 days

Seems Crooms, North & Josh Smith are injured more often than they are healthy.
I bet North has a helluva work out at the NFL combine and gets drafted highly. Then he will light it up for some team as a rookie.
He has the injury bug and we can't seem to get the best out of him because of the injuries.
