Mainly because of the annual anointing of UGA from delusional fans and sports writers thinking this is the year Richt takes the next step...

They show up 4 or 5 times on the list. Bias I say!

What if they do?

It's great that we made the list a couple of times. A little surprised against Arkansas made the list and on the road against Missouri did not.

As to Georgia being anointed, beyond the obvious question mark at QB, they are absolutely loaded. If they get any kind of reasonable play out of the QB, it would be hard not to pick them in the East.

If your looking for a reason why they are picked by most experts ahead of us, look no further than the OL.

it's all about relevancy....

over the past 5-6 years, who's been relevant in the conf championship picture thruout the season?

GA, MO, AUB, Bama and a couple of others. but these most consistently.

so it makes sense that they would headline "marquee games" lists.

i want to be relevant too. but it has to start with beating some teams so that games later in the season ARE relevant. when you lose 3 conf games before the end of October, November doesn't mean much, except that you're a potential stumbling block for the real contenders. and that's all we've been lately. potential stumbling block.

with each game we hopefully win, the more relevant each game after becomes. and that's all that matters. by the time some of these games are played, maybe they won't mean as much, and some that we do play, will.

Georgia's talent level has remained relatively level for quite some time. That is to say, they have always been loaded in the recent past. They also always lose 2 games or more when starting a new qb in the recent past. They might have enough to win the east (they certainly are the most talented team), but with no appreciable gains l suspect they will give the east away again.

Georgia's talent level hasn't been as level as you think. DL and secondary talent has been below par since 2012. The talent increased dramatically with the 2015 class, but they are freshmen.

The OU game will be better than the Bama Wisky game. Not sold that Wisky can take it to the wire with the Tide.
