Son and I are fulfilling a bucket list item....Oklahoma game together finally !

Staying at I-75 and Hwy 61/Clinton....coming from Nashville area(I-40). Looking for local advice of when best to get off of I-40 so we can avoid backtracking by not taking I-40 to I-75. Would appreciate thoughts from anyone that has local knowledge of that area !!,

Go Big Orange....12-2 in 2015, East champs :hi:

Well that was hard. Looks like exit 356 is the answer. Have fun. :good!:

No disrespect but even us old farts can google map :hi:

My question to you would be have you driven those back roads ? It will be late travling at night and wish to avoid any back country roads that might give us issues !

Stay on the interstate. I-40/75 as you arrive in Knoxville from the west. Then take I-640/I-75 NORTH, then take I-75 NORTH after about three miles. Just a couple of minutes up I-75 towards Kentucky and there's your exit. Not heavily developed, there won't be a lot of traffic at that exit. After 6:30 pm or so on a weekday traffic will be fine unless there is a wreck.

If the hotel is IN CLINTON then I-140 North on the west side of Knoxville will get you there quicker... but I'm guessing that your hotel will be just off of I-75.

Don't go through Oak ridge, stay on 40 to 640 to 75N.
If your hotel is at the exit it will be Holiday Inn or a Hampton on the Walmart side.
There is a decent italian restaurant - Gondolier, several fast food joints and a sit down place - Harrisons within walking distance.
There is a Country Inns and suites or a red roof inn on the other side of 61.

Golden Girls restaurant is pretty good for "home cooking" if you are not in a hurry.
