In an "impromptu" press conference today Spurrier told the media to basically quit bringing up his age and that he plans to coach the Gamecocks for another "five or six years."

Here is a quote from the press conference taking another shot at Tennessee:

"I'm smart enough to know when it's time to let somebody else come in and do this, but I'm also smart enough to know that we've beaten Georgia four of the last five years, beaten Florida four of the last five years and beaten Clemson five of the last six years. We're only 3-2 against Tennessee the last five years, and they won a couple of close ones against us, but they've lost 10 in a row to Florida. So I'd say we've done OK and have a lot more we're going to do."

He couldn't claim dominance over us himself so he does it vicariously through Florida. Hilarious

The shots we've given him in recent years have had a lot more sting on em...and we haven't had to say a word. He's still funny though

I don't read much into that. He won most of those games while Clowney and Kelcy Quarles were on his team. Take those two off the roster and they are close to being where they were before Spurrier came along.

His team is on the way down, and ours is on the way up. I see a lot of visor abuse in his future, if he doesn't retire. :)

Jones is inside his head. Jones and Staff may be the ones questioning how long he'll stay to recruits.... hope so anyway.

I really don't take either of his comments as a shot. If that's the best he's got then he is shooting blanks.

I hear him saying his team beat 2 of the top teams in the east and that something other historically top tier teams have not been able to do. He gave us credit for beating him the last 2 years.

Now we just need to take care of business this year and start beating the 3 top teams (which adds Missouri to Uga and Uf) in the east and not just mid level teams like SCAr

USCe has topped out. They went 11-2 from 11 to 13, and still did not win the east. The 13 team might have been the best they ever had, and they choked against us. (And Worley had a pretty terrible game).

He hates UGA because he lost to them during his Senior season. He hates UGA more than Tennessee.

The only shots Spurrier should be taking:
A shot of Metamucil in the morning.
A shot of B12 in the afternoon. And
A shot of Viagra at night.
