Homing beacon for UFO alien invaders! ET phone home. They're coming. Hope they like football.

My suggestive possibilities...that is where they buried General Neyland, burnt Dooley's orange pants, fried up Phil's donuts, spilled Johnny's scotch bottle, and are planning to build a cage for halftime matches with Butch and the opposing HC.

Or it could just be a media / fixed camera platform...

There used to be baskets hanging off of the fromt edge of the upper deck for cameras. They were around the 25 yard lines on the west side. I don't remember them being used much, if ever, since the 70s. They instead had the truck with a camera on a lift that would drive back and forth behind the bench for the sideline shots.

In this pic there looks like there was one on the 50 yard line as well.

I think it needs to be the spot where an alum for every home game leads the crowd in the Maxims!
