Ok I think the wife and I have decided to get season tickets. Trying to decide between section Q which would be right around the overhang with a view of jumbo. Also there is DD and looks like there is a possible slight overhang under the skybox. Anyone ever sat up under the skybox in dd? They are the same price. Also if it matters we are going to be taking my son to most games that is 8 years old.

I sat in FF row 21 against the club level for the Utah St game and still got wet. There's not much overhang if one at all from what I remember. However, I now have season tickets there and wouldn't sit anywhere else.

IMO, DD is the way to go. You're on the 50 and have a great view of jumbotron, if that matters to you. I'm biased towards sitting in the upper deck though. Don't know if this helps but take it for what it's worth.

Personally, I'd take DD. But it's all a matter of personal preference m

I've sat in DD. For the upper deck, it's great. I sit in X1 now, which is basically the the opposite side of the Tennessee bench from Q...and it's terrific. I'm four rows from the field, tho.

If you were in X1 row 4 two years ago, you probably missed Pig's fumble versus GA that was ruled a touchback.

DD would normally be blistering hot, but those first two games are early evening if I'm remembering correctly.

I picked up 3 in X1 row 30. I figure if I am not going to have the awning either way that we would just go lower level. Pretty pumped. I guess letting my wife go to Hawaii without me ended up paying off for me.

DD. Who would pass up 50 to be in lower level corner end zone. I have EE and love them but person I go with prefers the Z14 tix that I got for face value. My tix are right on the 30 and only 8 rows up. Some people kill me thinking that their Lower levels is all that. I would rather have 30-50 yard line tix in upper than Lower level end zone tix... much better view.

There is this thing called a Jumbotron. I very rarely have to rely on it, but it's handy when I do.

My son is so pumped to see "his boy Dobbs and his other boy Hurd". I ended up with X1 because I got them about 400 cheaper.

So who has a good location for parking/tailgating that is kid friendly.

I've been taking my boys to games since they were little. I can't say I've ever seen too much that could be considered "Not Kid Friendly". Of course, some cold ones are cracked open a few hours before kickoff.

I did witness this once - There used to be a passenger train car parked here on gameday:

At this spot, I saw KPD politely ask a Bama fan to pour out his open beer. The Bama fan made the mistake of saying "Make Me".

As he was being handcuffed and escorted away, I asked him if I could have his ticket! :dance2:

As for parking, I'm a cheapskate. If you are in decent shape (don't mind a couple of mile walk), Park at the State Street garage downtown. It's free. Fills up pretty fast. You can't roll in an hour before kickoff and find a spot.

Believe it or not, the walk is fairly level. There is a catwalk across Henley Street close to the sunsphere, and another across Cumberland just before the hill. Without those, it's some up and down.

I stumbled upon an awesome interactive seating chart the other day on uttix.com go to the site and click the link to purchase donation season tickets and it has the whole stadium and you can click on a section for a great interactive view

I did. I actually ended up getting tickets in X1 because I was able to get them quite a bit cheaper from Stubhub.

I had a pair in Z14 other corner end zone in dry for $1375. I could have saved you some money because I know stubhub is a bit pricey.

I needed 3. Thanks for the offer though. I am sure I could have gotten a slightly better deal through here or craigslist. Although my wife was adamant on using stubhub or UTtix. I don't think I got too bad of a deal. $2550 3 isle seats. It was actually around $400 cheaper going through them than UT tix. I think Ut tix was like 2775 not including the tax and all. I think they were going to be around 28 or 2900 for similar tix.

The wife and I will be in section Q this upcoming season. Got our tickets through UTTix.com. We got to test them out at the orange and white game, and we love them. I've sat in many seats in Neyland from lower endzone, to upper level on the 50, even got to catch a game in the Tennessee Terrace seats before. All that being said, I really like the seats we got in section Q that are covered.

Not bad for stubhub. They saved you a couple of hundred. They normally screw you over a couple of hundred

I believe you could have done better with Tennessee Fund..

you could get into sections AA, BB, EE or FF for a $100 donation per seat plus season ticket price of $410 per ticket. Plus you start building points as a donor.

Did you talk with Tennessee Fund or ticket office?

Just curious because I see so many buying season tickets and it appears they could do better with other tickets.

When buying through UT, you get option each year to move seats also. Might cost you bigger donation to move where you want but you have started building equity, perks on road tickets, parking, events, etc.

some BB seats are on the 35 yard line (I have section B seats and sit on 35).
