Question: why aren't Peyton Manning, Carl Pickens, Dale Carter, Al Wilson, etc. in the Hall of Fame?

Does Eric Berry have any chance? On down the line that is.

More than a chance. All-American (unanimous) last two seasons...Thorpe Award (should have been two). Badass all three years. He's a lock. :yess:

Ive always wondered the success rate of players taken in the draft/signed in the NFL. UT doesn't send many these days but they always seem to overachieve. Whereas as many as Bama sends you would think they would boast a lot more superstars.

This list really is lame. Only counts players who played or coaches who coached while their respective school was an SEC member.

To be eligible for the ballot, players must have been named a First Team All-American by a major/national selector as recognized and utilized by the NCAA for their consensus All-America teams; played their last year of intercollegiate football at least 10 years prior; played within the last 50 years and cannot be currently playing professional football.

Coaches must have coached a minimum of 10 years and 100 games as a head coach; won at least 60 percent of their games; and be retired from coaching for at least three years. If a coach is retired and over the age of 70, there is no waiting period. If he is over the age of 75, he is eligible as an active coach. In both cases, the candidate's post-football record as a citizen may also be weighed.

Three Tennessee standouts are included on the 2016 National Football Foundation College Hall of Fame ballot: Bobby Majors, Larry Seivers and Jackie Walker.

Didnt think he was that great in college, but that was a little before my balls dropped.

Before I was born so can't say for sure. Just going off of articles and opinion pieces that always mention him among the greatest college safeties of all time.

Oh, he was great alright, I saw him play...there's a reason an award was named after him, the Lott Impact Trophy. He was tough as nails.

He played on the same team as Dennis Smith and Joey Browner, quite the defensive backfield.
