Per CBJ, Peyton will be there Saturday.

So Peyton Manning standing on the sideline will draw 100k fans?
For those who are link challenged...
Butch Jones confirmed this morning during a radio interview on 104.5 The Zone in Nashville that Peyton Manning will be in attendance on Saturday for the Vols Orange and White Game. Apparently, Manning will be on hand to present a new spring award that features his name.
Jones also mentioned that Saturday will be more of a Spring Event as opposed to a true game, featuring many one-on-one battles between offensive and defensive linemen, receivers and defensive backs, linebackers and running backs etc. As well as some situational scrimmage work featuring offense vs. defense and special teams situations.
So, if you werent planning on being in attendance for Saturdays game, maybe this will sweeten the deal a bit.
The game is scheduled to begin at 4:00pm with Fan Day scheduled for 1:30pm.
Heres an excerpt from UTSports.coms Orange and White release on Fan Day activities:
Gates open for Fan Day at 12:30 PM, and players and coaches will begin signing autographs from 1:30 2:30 PM.
The waiting line for the fans will begin forming at 7 AM at Gate 7. Fans will be asked to line up along the exterior of east side of stadium. Gates open at 12:30 PM, with the cheer and dance team, as well as Smokey, available for photos and autographs on the field starting at that time.
During the autograph session, the team will be divided by position. Head Coach Butch Jones will be located in the North end zone of Neyland Stadium.
I don't think he makes that much of a difference, but you're being disingenuous. The team alone will draw close to 70K. The idea is that Peyton will be enough to push a lot of fans over the edge who were vacillating between going and staying home.
At the end of the day, that might make a few thousand choose to go. Not enough to push us to 100K, and perhaps not enough to get to 80K. But be more charitable
If Manning were playing, maybe...but not because he's just going to be there. I can't see too many people choosing to go because of someone standing on the sideline.
