Correction, He was a RS Junior this year after 2 years at Maryland and 1 year sitting out last year. So he had 1 year left.

No doubt, looking at Berry in backfield now, possibly bringing in Bryce love, and another back or two and adding Kamara and already having Hurd. We will be ok. These things will happen when freshmen come in and start. Honestly if Lane had been a junior or lower, he would have left the team as well IMO. Tough to swallow a kid that has 3 years left starting over anyone. None of those guys can beat Jalen and they know it, so you are left sitting on the bench wondering if he is going to get hurt or we start blowing someone out to see the field. Not too many guys will stay in that situation.

If a really good TB comes and works at it, he will likely play. At the least, the starter needs a blow sometimes. And you never know about an injury or someone (shudder) leaving early for the pros.

May be, but even prodigies get hurt and do need a rest. With Pickett gone we will have Kamara and...................Paulk (maybe if they let him back in), Abernathy from Cincy (who is really a return guy and not very big) Reid if he actually signs and maybe Love if they can get him to flip.
