Chuck Long ripped the Tennessee secondary to ribbons. Tennessee was last in the SEC in defense in 1982. How do you get the screen to come up where you put a youtube link up?
Man that was a classic game. Darrin Miller rambling 96 yards on an intercepted pitch out. Reggie Cobb gaining 133 yards in his first college game. Phil Reich who kicked the game winning FG had previously been working at a carpet mill in Dalton before walking on at UT Chattanooga as a punter then walking on at Tennessee. Mark Mcgwire's brother Dan playing QB for Iowa.

I was in high school for the 1982 Peach Bowl. We lost that one when we had it inside the 5 and they tried to throw on 3 rd down. Got nothing on the 4th down play with Cockrell on the option.
That video reminds me what a terrible venue Fulton County Stadium was for football. I went to the Peach Bowl vs Indiana in '87 and it was just a terrible place to play football.

I was at that game on my honeymoon. Sat on the 45 yd line 18 rows up at the old stadium. fun time terrible game Alan Cockrell was the QB and stunk up the place.
I actually went to this bowl game with my dad, one of my few memories of going to games with him. It's the only other bowl game I've been to besides the second year we played in the Fiesta Bowl and got beaten by Nebraska.
