Saturday marks the return of the Tennessee vs. Chattanooga series after a 45-year break as the Vols host the Mocs on Homecoming.

Tennessee is 37-2-2 all-time vs. Chattanooga, including a 30-1-1 mark in Knoxville. The Vols have won eight in a row in the series since 1959.

Tennessee holds a 68-19-3 record on homecoming all-time. The Vols won 18 homecoming games in a row from 1984-2001. Since 1984, Tennessee has won 27 of its last 30 homecoming games following last season's 55-23 loss to Auburn on Homecoming.

Represent the 14th consecutive home win vs. a non-conference dating to Sept. 25, 2010 as well as the 17th consecutive win overall over a non-"Power Five" conference opponent.

Improve Tennessee to 3-3 on the season and 69-13-3 all-time on Homecoming.

Mark the 9th consecutive win for the Vols over Chattanooga and improve the advantage in the all-time series to 38-2-2.

Improve the Vols to 8-4 in their last 12 games at Neyland Stadium since defeating Kentucky on Nov. 24, 2010.

I didn't know until yesterday that "Mocs" is short for mockingbirds rather than moccasins.

That change was made in 1996 due to hyper-sensitive political correctness because their logo was of Native American imagery while they were the Moccasins ...Ridiculous.

I know UT is an historic program, but did not think they predated the Battle of Hastings.

A win today does not mean that much because it is expected but a loss would be devastating!

Got an extra pair of tickets for free this morning, so we're taking our niece to her first game today. Always exciting to see someone's reaction the first time they see Neyland.
