Saturday's game marks the 44th meeting between Tennessee and Florida, with kickoff slated for 12 Noon on the SEC Network. The Gators own a 24-19 edge in the series. The 22 meetings in Knoxville have been split (11-11).

During the last five seasons since 2010, Tennessee is 10-2 in Noon kickoff games at home, including 4-2 in SEC play.

Tennessee's last win in the series was a 30-28 win on Sept. 18, 2004, on a 50-yard field goal by James Wilhoit with seven seconds remaining. Florida owns a current streak of nine consecutive wins in the series since 2005.

Tennessee has scored at least 30 points vs. Florida only twice in the last 13 meetings since 2002, winning both games (34-32 in 2001, 30-28 in 2004).

This is the latest meeting between Tennessee and Florida on the calendar since 2001, when the events of 9/11 moved the game to Dec. 1. It is also the first time since that game that the Vols are not opening SEC play vs. Florida.

The Vols lead the nation in defensive third down pct., limiting opponents to only 11 for 53 on third downs this year for a 20.8% rate. UT has also forced opponents to go three-and-out on 29.8% of possessions, the 5th-best total in the SEC and the 23rd-best nationally in 2014.

Tennessee limited Georgia to 1-for-10 on third downs last Saturday, the fewest conversions for UGA since also going 1-for-10 on third down vs. Florida in 2012. The last time UT held a foe to one third down was vs. WKU in 2009.

In their previous game, UT limited #4/3 Oklahoma to 3-for-14 on third downs, OU's lowest third down conversion pct. at home since 2009.

With a 41.4% third down conversion rate on offense and the 20.8% rate defensively, the differential of +20.6% in third down conversion rates ranks Tennessee 10th nationally.

Improve Tennessee to 3-2 and 1-1 in the SEC, ending a streak of six consecutive 0-2 starts in SEC play since 2008.

Snap a nine game losing-streak to Florida, including four in a row at home since 2006, while giving Tennessee an 11-2 record in its last 13 Noon kickoffs at home.

Give Tennessee a win in its first home SEC for the first time since defeating Georgia on Oct. 6, 2007.

Improve the Vols to 8-3 in their last 11 games at Neyland Stadium since defeating Kentucky on Nov. 24, 2012.

Mark Tennessee's second win in its last three October games, following a streak of eight consecutive October losses.

Today is my first big time game to see at Neyland. I've been to games against "lesser" opponents, but nothing as important as this game. I'm super pumped up for this.

Go ahead and do it!
I've worked all night and when I get home in about 90 minutes. I'm going to shower, put on my gameday attire, and mix me up a strong one!

It's now 6 AM here North of Nashville and I haven't been able to sleep either.

I want this WIN so bad I hope my old heart can stand it!

I sure wish I could be there because I really BELIEVE that history is going to be made today and this marks the turning of the corner and a big step back up the mountain to Tennessee being ranked in the top 10 like we should be every year.

Be extra LOUD folks and show the world who the best fans in the world really are!!!
