Yes, he has an extremely hard job.

He is the starting QB for a program that is trying to get back to an elite level that many fans (and the program itself) was used to for multiple decades in a row.

He is also trying to be the first QB to win a bowl game in about the last decade.

He has a very young line and most of his top receivers are out and will be out.

His redshirt was burned by an idiot coach so he never had the chance to just sit and watch and knows this is his one season to prove to the NFL he can do it---which is pressure in itself.

He also has a website full of arm-chair warrior fans who will turn on him in the blink of an eye--See Croom thread.

He also has a very young line and is running for his life even when he keeps it.

I also do not believe he has thrown an interception yet other the Croom pass (which should have been caught) which speaks volumes.

Lastly, at the end of the year if he gets us back into a bowl game and wins the actual bowl game his bowl game win will mean more than any bowl Peyton ever won. Because it will have a snowball effect on recruiting and stabilize this program showing the world we have turned the corner. Peyton's wins were nice, but Worley's is a program changer.
Now that's pressure.

How do you forget about a 100 yard pick 6 to end any chance of winning?

Did you forget about the 100 yard pick six in the okie game? Besides that, I agree with you post.

I think you bolded the wrong thing.

But yes you're right, he has 3 picks on the season. One went through Croom's hands, and the pick 6 was the result of bad play calling. You go 5-wide 2 yards outside of a crowded endzone you have a better chance of the ball being picked than you do actually making the completion.

Now that's pressure.

You must have turned the game off before the pick six against Oklahoma and missed the one against Arkansas ST.

And it won't be Worley alone that gets this program back to a bowl game if it happens.

The defense is trending in the right direction and Hurd is showing to be the real deal at RB.

But by all means, continue with the sanctimonious bloviating to prove you're a better fan than all the Worley "haters".

Looked like he was trying to make a play against a really good team w a predictable outcome. Maybe Croom could have helped his performance too by making a catch earlier.

That's a very fair and honest question and honestly I must have wiped it from my memory due to too much mental anguish.

It was a bad throw but the call was bad too,.

Should have tried to pound it in.

Definitely gotten harder with the loss of Pearson and Smith. Hopefully Malone, Johnson, Carter and Wharton can step up.

OMG is that all Vol fans care about are the pics?? Other than missing 2 other pics thst werent his fault, he was spot on.

Croom shoulda caught one, another got deflected that was a foot from being a TD, and the other an Ark St. Player made a miracle catch.

I like Worley Bird and hope he has the breakout season he needs to have, but Peyton Manning was Tennessee's best QB ever and he continues to impact our program.

Go Worley Bird ! :clapping:

Actually that play did what it was designed to do; get a man open quickly. Worley simply chose the wrong guy.

That Ark St pick was amazing...They should make that kid a receiver.
