Let me start by saying that in my high school class of 770, I was known mostly for being the only die hard Tennessee fan there. (Most others deffering to USCe, Clemson or Alabama/Florida bandwagon.)

Anyways, recently a friend of mine who graduated a year ahead of me contacted me and said he's a Tennessee fan now. He was a USC fan when I had classes with him.

His reasoning was that he went to the 2011 Tennessee vs. Vandy game (ended with an Eric Gordon pick 6) and he said that Neyland couldn't help but sway him to Tennessee. He mentioned that the crowed, and the way the game ended were the most influential parts of it. Says he's been a UT fan ever since, even though the team wasn't that great.

Not that great of a story, but felt like sharing what Neyland can do to outsider fans. GBO.

Cool story, bra strap. Really. It only take one visit to Neyland to become a fan.

I don't consider anyone a bandwagon fan that gets in while we are at rock bottom.

If he was at the Arkansas or Oregon vs Tennessee game would he have switched teams? Or because it was exciting and we won?

Again, i have no issue with bandwagon fans, just the hypocrisy.

Hypocrisy? There were much better teams bandwagons to jump on at that point in the season. If anything that makes him more of a fan.

I was at the Arky game where Joe Knight torched us. It was looooooong drive to TN after.

The fact that he didn't give up being a Tennessee fan exactly 7 days later means he truly chose to be devoted.
