I cannot get over the size Maggitt has put on. He is a man among boys.

They don't grow'em (or recruit 'em) like that in Utah.

Do the black stripes stay on the practice helmets now that "Fall Camp" is over?

My number 1 seed for people I absolutely need to stay healthy is Curt Maggit. Goodness gracious he deserves it and can really bring a new dimension to this defense.

Looking for Curt to have a HUGE game Sunday night! Every coach he's had here has always raved about his ability and leadership. The guys not got to play in a game in a long time, so you know he's got a lot of built up aggression to unleash on the field this week. I want so badly for this guy to stay healthy and have a big year, not for us fans as much as for him personally. He's been around here for a few years now, and even while having to deal with much adversity, has maintained a great attitude, work ethic, and leadership while having to sit out due to various injuries. Actually met him and AJ over the summer, and both guys were very cool, down to earth guys that represent our university and football team well. These guys have suffered through some of the lowest times in Tennessee football history, and I want to see them experience success on the field before starting the next chapters of their lives. Truly deserve it!

What is smeared on the front of their helmets?

I thought it was plastic wrap or something so the helmets don't get scuffed up before the first game Sunday. It sounds silly, but I've never seen anything else like that on a football helmet so thats all I could come up with. I'm sure they decal them up today or tomorrow.
