Saturday marks the 32nd all-time meeting between Tennessee and South Carolina. The Vols are 22-7-2 vs. the Gamecocks all-time despite losses in three consecutive matchups.

Tennessee won a series-best 12 consecutive games over South Carolina from 1993-2004.

Since 2000, no matchup in the SEC has been closer, as the average margin of victory of 8.69 is the narrowest of any regular SEC matchup (min. 10 games).

In 11 meetings since 2002, the game has been within a touchdown in the fourth quarter seven times and has gone to OT twice (2003, 2007).

SC has more total offense than UT in the last 10 meetings, but the teams have split those games from a win-loss perspective (5-5).

The Vols' last win over a ranked team was also their last win over SC, 31-13 in Knoxville on Oct. 31, 2009. The last UT win over a top 15 team was over SC, 27-24 on Oct. 27, 2007.

Represent the first win over a ranked team since 10/31/09 vs. No. 21 South Carolina (31-13) while also ending a three-game losing streak to the Gamecocks since the win in 2009.

Improve Butch Jones to 54-30 (.643) in seven seasons as a head coach while marking the 803rd win in Tennessee football history.

Give Tennessee its sixth win in its last seven games at Neyland Stadium and an 11-3 record in its last 14 games at home since Nov. 5, 2011. UT is 33-15 (.688) at Neyland Stadium since 2007.

Improve the Vols to 23-7-2 all-time vs. South Carolina and mark the first win over a Top 15-ranked team since a 27-24 win over then-No. 15 South Carolina on Oct. 27, 2007.
