Tony G is retiring, we need a TE... That kid from ND is sick, even though taking a TE in the first round is almost unheard of, I would support it. if you talk to scouts and draft experts though, he was never really a Top 5 pic. That was Heisman and media hype. The Alabama game just showed what they already knew

I don't think his situation has affected his draft status as of yet. I'd say the NC game was more of an indictment against his skills than this PR nightmare.
