Does anyone know the average age of our fans? I'm usually surrounded with octagenerians incapable of making a sound above a whisper except to grumble about how bad "Johnny" was done.
I"m no spring chicken myself having graduated in the 70's but still can go over 110 decibels. It just seems when I go to Bama or Auburn to see a game that their fans seem louder and younger.
So it's important that the students and youner fans make as much noise aa=s possible. |

| Mostly what i have saw is goody goodys who go just to show off their short skirts. If you aint there to cheer on the greatest football team on earth, then stay home. I hate ppl who go there just to go and sit there with their hands under thier butts trying to be "cool". Get a life. Raise some hell guys

| The rule was essentially that if the ref determined it was too loud to hear on the field when the visitors were on offense, a time out could be charged to the home team. It was entirely a judgement call and appeared to be rarely enforced. |

| I remember a rule against artificial noisemakers and a ban on bands playing while the opposing team approaches the line of scrimmage on offense, but I have never heard of that rule. So, it must very well have been rarely enforced. Thanks. |

| I'm not sure, but artificial noise makers may have fallen under this rule. I hope not...but I am not sure. |

| Sorry..I can see why that was confusing. What I was attempting to say was that I am a bit concerned that what prevented the use of artificial noise makers may have been this rule. My statement was that I hope that wasn't the case...and that artificial noise makers would now be aloud...ok bad pun...allowed. I am all for as much vocal chord noise as we can raise...but leave the cowbells at home, IMO. |

| The middle of that last post still sounded ambiguous. But, you made your point at the end. I agree. We don't need anything artificial. |

| Many times at the games I have stood up and asked the folks around me to make some noise. My seats are in the lower level of the north end zone and it is just not a wild crowd. I would say the noise is generated by about 60% of the 107K. The other 40% just sit there. When our D is on the field GET UP, SCREAM, STOMP THE SEAT IN FRONT OF YOU, DO SOMETHING TO HELP THE BIG ORANGE!! Let's get wild and LOUD on THE HILL this year!
GO BIG ORANGE!!
