Who is T Taylor recruiting?

I do not see his listed as primary recruiter for any of our early commitments. I'm sure the staff tag teams prospects and such but I am curious to know if Trooper has been dedicated to trying to reel in some of the big fish left out there or if he is just playing a supporting role to other recruiters this year?

That is actually something to be optimistic about. A number of the more highly touted players we are in for are being recruited by Taylor, probably our best recruiter. Are all of these guys that we have a shot at? Some are slim to none. But, these are the players that I know has a heavy invovlement with. I am sure there are a few more, but not that I can find it in writing somewhere.

Do we have a chance with Caleb King? I've seen highlights of him and he looks like he could be really good.

Yeah, Paige is LSU/FSU bound, but since he is visiting, we have a chance.

he is recruiting eric berry too isnt he?

I am pretty sure he is the lead recruiter for Berry, because GA is a state he is regularly invovled with. But, I think with the ties to UT and the priority placed on Berry that Fulmer is basically acting as the lead recruiter.

Chances with Paige and King are both slim. With King it is not a big deal because we are actually in good shape with a number of very good RB prospects. But, if we were to turn things around with King that would be great because he is a stud. Paige has more interest in other schools right now, but UT is a place that always has a chance if we get a visit. So, if he actually makes it to Knoxville I think our chances would vastly improve.

Paige is supposed to be a package deal with Luther Davis and Davis isn't showing us much love at all, so that doesn't help. I wouldn't say we are in good shape with many of the RBs. A couple are maybe's.

Last year's class kinda loaded us ar RB anyway, don't you think? We've got 2-3 that could start at a lot of other schools that are barely going to get on the field.

We signed one RB last year and he's at prep school this year. BTW keep your eyes open for a RB recruit from Mobile....Terrell Edwards. If we get that kid we get a good one. So far TE has flown under the radar with the recruiting services but he'll be a big name after this fall HS season. I believe Trooper is on him as well.
