I know we have to run the ball but if you don't want to see Bray slinging for about 5 Tds to hunter and DR by halftime, ucrazy. I think many people feel the same way, and that means expectations are up.

Your right, nobody knows what is coming up. But either way, we have to be able to run the ball adequately.

Dooley said in his first ever UT press conference that we would be an exciting team to watch.

He'll make good on that promise this year.

Really good observation OP. I remember that as well. CDD has done some things really well and some things real dumb, but he has been willing to change it up when it turned out dumb. I like that. I really hope he makes it so the program will continue to improve and build some momentum. The team is not that far away from dominating once they believe they can.

With our weapons at WR and QB we don't have to be the best running team in the nation to win, we just have to be good enough to keep defenses honest. I'm not the happiest person with CDD's perfromance so far but I will give him props for using what he has (and it hasn't been much his first few seasons) instead of trying to force our team to do something they cannot.

Honestly, I don't care if we run out of the single wing, as long as we win. I don't root for the Vols to be entertained. My blood is Big Orange and as long as win, I don't care how. If we run the ball every play, but win, I don't care. If we throw the ball every play, but win, I don't care. Reality says that you've got to be a least semi-balanced, but scoring at least one more point than our opponent is the bottom line.

I like to be entertained while watching a game. Too many Titans and vols games in the last few years that lost my attention. I don't want to dread watching the team anymore, and I don't.

I remember when I heard Dooley was hired telling a UK friend "Who in the world is this guy? I guess we are a bball school now." I was severely wrong. Dooley has proven he can recruit & represent UT well. I hope he can coach cause I like the guy. Looking forward to this season.

I agree... CDD has had a learning curve, just as any coach new to the SEC probably will.... Considering the dismal shape of the program when he got here I'm pleased with where we seem to be heading...That being said I think he has learned from his mistakes and I for one think he will make us proud and be our coach for many, many years to come.........
