| | The Minister of Defense | Another Reason I Don't Think Lane Is the answer:
Chaney said Neal and Young have been the most exciting backs so far, and that Lane has been solid and done some good things on third down.
From GVX 247
I've long felt as though Lane just isn't dynamic enough to be a top tier RB in the SEC. It seems CJC agrees. |

| I like Lane also. I don't have a problem with Neal either. I do know that Lane was running hard in the O&W game. That is the last I have really seen him run. The coaches see him everyday. More than likely both will get about the same carries until after Florida. That should be the game that the best to start emerges if one does. |

| | The Minister of Defense | I'm just not sold on Lane. I know he was coming off a knee injury and all that. Just think he doesn't have the necessary speed or shake n bake needed. Devrin has it, the question is can he handle the beating. |

| Lane showed some sparks early on last year but I think the nagging injuries and the overall toll the season takes on players (especially true freshmen) may have affected him. Neal went through similar things in 2010, but with the switch to receiver, he found a way to be useful. Now he is back in the driver seat in the backfield and has a chance to use his experience to his benefit. I wouldn't give up on Lane though. |

| I'm hoping this is just a little motivational technique for Lane. |

| Not sure CJC even knows what a running game looks like.

We really haven't seen DY at RB so you really don't know if he has it. |
