Nobody worth their salt as an athlete wants to look like a fool. |

There wasnt anyone on the field punching these guys in the helmet telling them to get their asses in gear. It would have been nice to have Nick Reveiz in that game. Bet he would have set some asses straight. |

| It's a new year. Deeper more talented team. Dooley's best team. He better take full advantage of it. |

| The Kentucky loss sucked, but I agree with the OP and with Derek Dooley - may have been the best thing that happened to us. |

I broke numerous things around my house and didnt speak until the following Tuesday. But, once I cooled off I figured it couldnt go on forever and that maybe the embarrasment these kids got from it would pick their ass up a little bit. |

| I agree. It happened. It sucked. It also led us to where we are today, which is a new staff with an upgrade in talent in at least 3 positions.
If we had beaten ky and masked some issue or even won a bowl, i'm not sure our outlook for this year would be as positive. I'm afraid we would have seen more of the same, as DD would have then been a "winner". With that loss, we had no choice but to make changes in every category of concern.
I still wish we would have won the game, but we didn't, so things were addressed that might not have been. |

| | VN GURU | Since everyone seems to agree, I'll go ahead and say I don't think the Kentucky loss benefits us at all.

Once Bray went down the Vols were like fresh meat in a tiger cage |
