I caught red eye bass, huge catfish, seen huge carp, and tons of gar fish. I'm in Nashville so if u kayaked it you would be picking that ***** up alot and toting it to deeper water. It goes from ankle (or kankle if you're fat) deep to chin deep in a matter or yards. I use rooster tails, road runners, small spinners, and rebel crawdads, and tear that place up.

I used to catch 100-150 red eyes on a 3 hour float in the Holston River in my youth. Then, TWRA decided to replentish the river otter population. Haven't caught one in 15 years.

Yeah, more on the Culbertson Rd side than Bluff Rd though. I used to have the best luck near Blue Hole and Pettus. The Donelson end is still good.

If you have a houseboat with the old style foam then otters are very bad .. i saw a small one swimming around my deck coupla days ago .. hopefully he isnt setting up camp in my floats

nothing a good oar to the head cannot cure....or maybe a shotgun blast.....I know they can screw up a stream and fast

yea.. thought bout taking a pellet gun out there but that was the only time ive seen him .. hopefully it wont matter much longer because when tva drops the lake we're gonna change out the foam for the new encapsulated stuff. I think i have a few joists under the house thats busted that i need to fix anyway, we're floating pretty crooked now
