| Exactly how do assistant coaches get groomed?
DD is supposed to be so good because he was groomed by Saban. None of the recent assistant coaches in UT history have been head coaches. So I was wondering what do head coaches do to get assistants ready to be head coaches. And how can you tell if an assistant is ready or just Randy Sanders? |

| Grooming is usually learned as a child. Some coaches grow up unable to groom themselves and have 3 choices:
Ask their wives for help
Hire a groomer (AKA hooker)
Go ungroomed
Most choose to go ungroomed and end up like Franklin or Leach. Petrino tried the hiring method. Saban and Dooley seem to have married their groomers although Barbara Dooley probably had a role in the childhood development as she attempted to groom Vince. | |

Its more than helmet hair and pressed shirts. Tennesse is still in a down cycle and I'm glad despite some player slip ups our coach has kept his cool and represented the school well. | |
