When I lived west, I recall driving 90mph from Nevada on I-15 just before Barstow, CA, cars passed me going at the usual cosmic speed of WROOM. And you periodically saw CHiP cars parked next to a Joshua tree or under a tamarisk tree. Probably A/C going full blast and the officer asleep. But I see no need to drive like that here. Out there you can spot a cop miles away, driving or sitting still. But here too many hiding places. But if Shirley wants a ticket, she pays for it herself.
