And just as a side note, if Alabama had lost Richardson, McCarron, and Maze last year they would have lost at least 3 games. But what exactly does that prove except Bama still would've had a decent year but with major injuries would've had a 2-3 game shift in record just like TN did.

Another, is that winning teams get better, as a team, as the season progresses. Did NOT happen. I'm inclined to agree on those final two games, and it has been well documented that the lockerroom was divided. I think the real team was the one before Bray's injury that was playing great football. The team didn' t have the support for Simms that was necessary, and Worley wasn't ready. If teams didn't mature, Vanderbilt would have had two wins, you guys would have lost three games, and South Carolina would still be one of the worst programs in the conference. Teams, players, and coaches mature and develop, and that is my expectation for this team.

A whopping 90.08 YPG. That's good enough for 116th nationally and in a 12 horse race, finishing last but least.

I assumed as much. No advantage in not hoping for the best. At this point Dooley is 0 and 2 in team improvement. And maturity is more than just getting older. We can all stay tune, no one really believes he'll live through 0 and 3.

I mean, they can improve but still not be very good....b/c that's how bad they were last year.

Sorry for the pessimism....I'm not use to it. I'm typically very optimistic but damn....the last 5 years have tested my resolve.

I'm in the same boat, but if this projected improvement materializes, it should be much more fun this year.
