I'm pretty sure you're using "notwithstanding" wrong. Your sentence doesn't make sense to me.

Pipe dream in spite unless we can run.....

Pipe dream nevertheless unless we can....

Pipe dream despite the fact unless we can...

No.

Rudy, JUCOs are expected to make some significant contribution right away; you wouldn't take em, otherwise, as they don't have as much eligibility as a true freshman. Sure, many are busts, but there are reasons to think Patterson could be not so much of a Kenny O'Neal, but more of a Kelly Washington on the field. There are no guarantees. We'll see.

mid-season Bourque should be ready to contribute.

IMO if we don't average 35 points a game, we need
to look for a change at OC. (To be honest I don't really
care for Chaney anyway)

Pssst, P.S.: TY for the secret info.

Perfect storm?

That implies that UT will have a balanced attack and hence a run game that is above average in the SEC. Anybody willing to bet any of their hard earned money on that one?

Trying to tone down UT fan expectations is pointless. Every year they convince themselves this is the year. Doesnt matter we won 1 conference game and it took overtime vs Vandy at home. Doesnt matter we couldnt stop anyone on D or run the ball. Any logical Vol fan will tell you that our fans are way too optimistic this year.

why do you people feel it's necessary to knock down a person's optimism? Enjoy the season like you want and let others do their thing too. All of the "I'm smarter because I'm a realist" crap is ridiculous
