NegaVol Bait (Or a prediction thread)

Have at it everyone!

08/31 - NC State (Chick-Fil-A Kickoff Game) W
Why?: The Vols explode out of the gate with their exceptional offense. Tennessee begins scoring early and the 'Pack just can't keep up.

09/08 - Georgia State W
Regardless of this new division I team's rise to power, this is till division I college football and they are virgins to the system. Tennessee beats this team handily.

09/15 - Florida W
It's been too long. The stage couldn't be more perfectly set. Neyland Stadium will be sold out, and Florida's young offense won't know what to do with themselves. The absence of Jeff Demps and Chris Rainey will be obvious when the Vols take this win.

09/22 - Akron W
Home game against a cupcake.

09/29 - @ Georgia L
Hard to tell with this game, but I believe Aaron Murray will overcome the odds against the Vols young defense, if you know, Georgia has a team left to play with and they're not all locked up.

10/13 - @ Mississippi State L
I expect this team to completely dissapoint the Bulldog faithful like they have for many, many years. However, I'm not too sure if they Vols will be ready to face them.

10/20 - Alabama L
No seriously, I just can never pick the Crimson Turds to beat Tennessee. Ever. Regardless of the fact that my mind is telling me that they will post up on us and beat us like rented mules. We'll still win.

10/27 - @ South Carolina W
Vols beat the Gamecocks this year pending that everyone stays healthy.

11/03 - Troy W
Good warmup for what will be, in my opinion, the most exciting game of the season.

11/10 - Missouri W
Welcome to the SEC. Welcome to the largest stadium in the SEC. Welcome to the largest crowd of rowdy bastards that like to drink a ton of beer and beat stuff up and chase after bears because we're the freakin' S-E-C. Mizzou gets initiated in Neyland, properly.

11/17 - @ Vanderbilt (Neyland West) W
James Franklin doesn't have enough middle fingers to pull the game in his favor this time. As usual there will be more Tennessee fans than Vanderbilt fans, and Franklin will run away crying.

11/24 - Kentucky W
Tennessee begins another win-streak against the mudcats.

Overall Record: 9-3

Final Ranking: #21

Head Coach for the 2013 Season: Derek Dooley (Staff TBD)

If they lose to Florida the first conference win may not come until November. Also the Bama game is at home.

Not sure why everyone just assumes we will walk into Columbia and administer a beat down to USCjr. That's a loss in my book.

I bet you are right. They still have 3 RBs that would start for most teams. UT included. Not to mention a stud QB and stout defense.

I think a lot of people are seeing what I see. I like SCs running backs, quarterback, offensive line, defensive ends, and linebackers. I don't see any receivers that are good enough to make this offense explosive. Sanders is only good for running streaks, D.L. Moore has caught more colds than footballs at SC, and their best options at receiver after that may very well be the true freshmen they brough in, specifically Jody Fuller and Shaq Roland. They are intriguing at tight en, but I don't think Rory Anderson is surprising anyone this year and Justice Cunningham is solid but unspectacular. I'm waiting for Quarles to do something to live up to the immense hype his freshman campaign has created. He played well last year, but he wasn't dominant by any means. Byron Jerideau is probably better known for his January arrest than anything he's done in a game. Akeem Auguste can play, but how has he recovered from his season-ending foot injury? D.J. Swearinger missed the spring with a foot injury that affected him for much of last season. Victor Hampton is an interesting prospect wh could prove to be an NFL talent, but he is raw and needs seasoning. Brison Williams had a strong spring, but like Hampton he lacks exoerience. The concerns I listed are why I believe we have a legitimate shot at the Chickens on the road.

We hold the Wild Card with our staff. If they can consistently count to 11 and not send 15 guys out for plays, we could potentially win 8 with this weak schedule.

Trust the process.
