| Bullard not even in the two deep Stone will be our starting C, snapping lefty. Interesting. Seem to recall getting bashed for pointing out Bullard should not be anywhere close to a starting spot |

| I don't give a crap who it is or what hand they snap with as long as we quit fumbling the exchange.

| They have a real center - Mack Crowder. Time to throw the guy into the mix and get him ready. This left handed thing will only work if Tyler changes how he takes the ball under center. Expect more fumbled snaps. |

I mean hand over hand under the butt and above his junk, grab the ball when it is hiked. When in shotgun, it only takes a summer of getting used to a different trajectory. |

The only thing it does is put a different spin on the ball as it gets to the QB in the shotgun formation.
At the time the original switch was made, it was said they were trying to help Stone be better prepared as an NFL center. Whether that was true or not, who knows, but I really doubt it makes much of an effect, other than he'll be able to snap the ball fine, like he did before the switch. |

I don't remember any problems from his frosh year. |

| I often get criticized for being too optimistic about everything, but in this case there is no excuse for what Dooley and Chaney did with Stone. It was dumb, it was uncalled for, and it hurt the team. Stone is our best center, he is one of our best linemen, and he is a leader. To not only make him switch something that impacted literally nothing, but to ruin his confidence in the process is inexcusable. I'm glad they are rectifying their dumb mistake. We should have a guy with 1.5 seasons under his belt at C, and instead we have a guy that is again having to switch from his guard assignment to the center assignments. |

I don't recall hearing of this as a problem as long as I've been following football. They were trying to help the kid be an NFL center, and it didn't work, so they're going back to what does work. IIRC, he could have been at Bama instead, if not for Dooley. Would that be preferable? |
