I git what yer saying there, BV.. I guess the reason I'm impressed w/ Devrin is that I didn't realize he was beast mode like that, especially since he's a true soph. One of the negatives I heard about him when he signed was his size.. Granted, he ain't tall, but it appears to me that he's put on some quality lean muscle mass..

Also, a lot of skill position players don't look all jacked up, even thru their SR seasons (D Moore comes to mind).. Certain ones do but aren't necessarily impressive physically (JH for instance).. Of course guys on the lines and LBs are jacked up - that's a prerequisite for success at those positions in the SEC.

This. Its almost like he lacks confidence in where he is supposed to be on the field, hopefully Sal and company will help him here.

I see your point. In the case of DY I guess I can see why you were so surprised by it. I hope he's not TOO pumped to where it will affect his agility. I've seen that happen to players before. I actually think it hurt Oku from his freshman to sophomore year.

So what you're saying is he's been ripping the weights and will be tearing up defenses.

all football players look big now from here to D2 schools.
all matters how they look from late sep - jan

sure we will see a pic early aug when player x is in the first practice with no pads and his muscles are showing fans will go nuts.

The reason I'm impressed with DY is he has that extra gear that just when you think he ain't gonna make the corner he hits the gas and boom - another cut off angle CHANGED! Course I ain't seen him up close and all ripped up and all so my man crush is a little more tempered.

Good to once again have a few players like this.

If we can get our OL to actually hold a block this year and DY can break the line of scrimmage he will be fun to watch.

First time I watched this kid as a freshman in HS I knew he was gonna do big things. Funny to see the posts from people who once bashed the idea of UT signing this kid. Safe to say Rivals blew it on this one.
