I look at it like this:

This all kicks off in 2014. The Vols (tiny bit of homerism here) stand a real possibility of being known as the first (1998) and last (2013) BCS National Champions.

It's an interesting possibility......

going on, more relative to atlanta's view on the matter:
So what happened during the super bowl on Dallas huh??? I'm sure JJ will be on Blanks side if it ever comes up as a negative again.

What in the world is the huh for? Do you think for some reason that I was making this up? Or that I'm trying to diss the city because of some personal vendetta I have with it or something?

That's what happened and unfortunately has been hanging over the city's head (in the NFL's eyes) since; there was sincere concern on their part that the game might have been cancelled/suspended that Sunday (the last thing they'd want to have to do) as a result of the ice storms, even if they were freak weather for the area. (Atlanta hosted two in a 6 year period, yet after that one it's been a full 12 years - 15 really since venues are already set till 2015...it also doesn't appear to be in the running for 2016)

Also why would Jones stick up for another franchise trying to host a super bowl? (considering as well that it's the cities who make the campaigns and bids to host, not the NFL owners)

Hey man not sure why u went all crazy but I'll let it be. But honestly u miss understood my comment. Not whatever u thought it was.

JJ is the one who pushes for events at his stadium. So what I meant was if you r correct about the snow storms hurting atl's chance of getting the bowl because of possible weather issues then JJ now cant use that against them when lobbying cause it happened to him. Simple. Next time just ask me to clarify what I mean. I can try to make it simpler.

Hope ur wknd got better.

Having four teams is great an all, but won't there be the same argument for the 5th and 6th ranked team like there is now for 3rd and 4th? Is it not just moving the problem? Since you don't get in on record alone playoffs never seem fair and neither do records... I don't think their is a perfect solution TBH....

People are always gonna complain. So can't keep all happy. The key is making the regular season important game after game. So 5 and 6 will just need to shut up and take the bowl game they get. Simple.

Why don't they keep the BSC ranking system and just take the top 4 teams? Why use a selection commitee when all that does ia bring in bias depending on who you represent or where you are from? I think all they have done is make it very difficult to determine the final four teams. Every year there are plenty of one or two loss teams all saying they have an advantage and should be ranked higher depending on sos or some crap like that.
