| Tennessee Channel With Texas and the Big 10 having their own TV channel, what was the outcome of Tennessee and or SEC not having one? I actually find myself pulling up the BIG 10 network every evening. I've actually found some good documentaries on. Just thinking it would be nice to see replays other than the 92 TN/SC game! | SEC Network will probably be here within the next couple of years. Last I heard, 2014 was when they were looking at starting it up. |

The SEC is most likely (I don't say certainly because at best the only thing known to the public is a project named "project X") working on its own network though, either in cooperation with ESPN (most likely) or someone else.
As far as when it'd be up by, people could only give you guesses at this point |

| I know personally I'd like to have the opportunity to watch atleast a SEC channel. No offense to anyone but I still wouldn't watch swimming or any of the other programming the big 10 Network has... Posted via VolNation Mobile |

| Ask Deerpark - I never watch the Big 10 channel and have gotten it for free since it came out -- games are usually 3rd tier ones way to boring to watch. |

| There will be an SEC Network that will launch in 2013 or 2014, depending on if ESPN can re-claim some rights that they sold off to FSN and CSS. Those games will be the primary football and basketball inventory for the network, along with some games that are currently "third-tier."
SEC Bylaws and the TV agreements forbid any school from starting a commercial network along the lines of the Longhorn Network.
If a school wanted to put their third-tier games on a non-commercial school-owned or public channel (like the TVC channel that UT has on-campus and on cable in Knoxville or East Tennessee Public Television), the SEC would have to approve it, but it would be allowed. No school does this because they make so much money selling the rights to a cable channel like CSS or SportSouth. |

| I can't wait until we get an SEC Channel started. I have to admit that the Big Ten Network is really cool. They play a lot of classic games during the summer, and sometimes I find myself watching them at midnight. I would love nothing more than to have an SEC Network. |
