Surviving the Offseason

OK, I know this is totally random, but it's June and I'm jonesin for some foozball.

The countdown until NC State is killing me because it still seems so far off. In order to maintain my sanity, it's helping me to do the countdown to Fall Camp instead of gameday.

Fall camp means press conferences, practice pix, coach and player interviews, hype around new players, and overall excitement about the progress of the team. It ain't the season, but it's the next best thing.

All that being said, assuming fall camp starts on Thurs Aug 2, that means it's only 41 days until football time in TN! That's just a little more than ONE MONTH away.. Can I get an AMEN?!?

Again, I know this is random, but I'm just trying to come up with some practical strategies to survive the dog dayz of the offseason.

Well...it's summer. So I suggest getting some cold beer and finding some water to sit by while you drink it. I would recommend water that has hot chicks in small bathing suits in or around it. This will take your mind off football I promise.

The CFL kicks off next week and if you have ESPN3 you can watch every game. I've found it's a nice way to get my football fix, plus the bonus of getting to see some ex-Vols play.

I drink a lot in the offseason....also, during the season. it helps either way.

What about... drinking beer by some water while watching hot chicks in small swim suits play football. Will that help?

And some of us reading the Game of Thrones books --there are several and they are big, so that should kill some time.

(I used to enjoy the football magazines about this time but they have gotten increasingly pathetic to the point where I think I will skip them this year).
