Article I found from last year. Basically says they shouldn't have tried to get him to switch, but it shows that he is a lefty...

Common sense left behind in Vols

The whole left handed snapping was an epic failure at gainseville last year. If they do it again and it screws up the UF game I'm going to find someone's dog and kick it. Its bad enoug that it already happened, not learning from it will be even worse.
If you were a bammer you would shot your son instead of kicking a dog after a loss.

If I was a bammer I'd shoot myself.

I do like that the staff is trying to get some strength at the LG and C position. Moving Dallas to LG was a good move. Seemed like last year the pocket would collapse between the LG and Center pretty easily.

BTW who is ready to see Tiny on the line? I'm pumped!

Friends, the kid is left-handed. The problem last year was the result of taking a lefty and making him snap the ball right-handed.

They have obviously moved him back to center, but are allowing him to snap the ball naturally.

IF we are going to be a blitzing defense, PLEASE put in more blitz packages than Wilcox had in...anyone with half-a-brain could see where the pressure was coming from when we blitzed last year.

As a former center for 13 yrs, there are many ways to snap the ball to the qb. 30 yrs ago they had guys snap 2 handed under center. There is more than 1 way to skin a cat. (no homo)

I never understood the idea of forcing a lefty like Stone snap the ball with his right hand. I am glad they went back to his normal snap. Glad the O-line coach that made this change is gone.

Instead of working so hard on snapping with the non-dominant hand, they should go back to regular snapping and use the extra time to improve run blocking.
Whoops. Epic fail on my part. I assumed he was right handed to start with. Sorry for derailing an otherwise informative thread with a rant based on a faulty assumption.

I understand you logic but it is not entirely correct. Blitzes are as much to create disruption as it is to get to the qb. I also think the general logic in blitzing now days is that you bring more than the offiense can block and you win automatically.
