Definetly similarities between the groups but much lighter at rb. 2006 rb's were studs when they weren't hurt or suspended. Foster all nfl pro now. hardnesty injury prone but great senior season and sick runs in 2006 cal game. Coker tons of potential thrown away. 2012 rb's have a long ways to go to be compared with 2006 group.
Thanks for laying it out like this. If I had to pick I would rank it like so
QB - edge 2012 (barely)
RB - edge 2006
WR - edge 2012 (barely)
TE - push
OL - push

The 06 and the 12 teams are about the same at QB, the 06 team was better at RB, and the 12 team is better at receiver.....I see the comparison, this years offense should be very good. The 06 team had only 1 future NFL pick at receiver among the top 3 receivers, the 12 team is 3 for 3 in that category.
