When Fulmer was here, the minimum expectation in his contract was 8 wins. Now all of a sudden, 8 wins has us back on the right track. That's a joke. Look at facts people. We are up this year. If we only win 8 games in an up year, we might as well consider ourselves bottom dwellers in the SEC for years to come. If we can't beat a bad Florida team, and at least compete with a very young Alabama team this year, we need to move on, 8 wins or not. I say at least 9 wins, and the 3 losses better be close, or we need a new coach on the hill. | Vols033, you must not be a true tennessee fan. 7 or 8 wins is all TRUE UT fans should be happy with. Getting spanked by bama, florida, lsu, georgia and losing to kentucky is accepted by the TRUE UT fans. HAHAHA thats a complete joke also. I agree with your post 100%. There's no reason this team shouldn't win a minimum of 8 games if not 9 before the bowl game. I'm tired of losing. I'm really excited to watch this team play this season, i think its going to be a fun year. GBO!!! |

I said when Dooley was hired, it would take him recruiting 4 of his own full classes (which does not include the 2010 class) before he would be able to compete. That would be the 2014 season.
I never felt we would be competetive this year. My definition is a realistic chance at winning the east and playing for the SEC.
Still think it is likely 2014 before we are in that position. of course, if Dooley gets repalced prior to then, it will likely be longer.
just my opinion.

Here is the difference we fired a HOF coach with 152-52 record for having 2 losing seasons out of 4. You sunshine pumpers want to make Dooley a saint after that loser has 2 straight losing seasons and hasn't come close to recruiting like Fulmer or Kiffin did. |

Even if its only 8 at least we would have improved, even though it will still be a disappointment. beats 5 wins any day though |

| Expectations change. Only being happy with a SEC championship or SEC title game appearance this year, after last year's team, is goofy.
8 regular season wins or Dooley should relocate back to Athens imo. |

Dooley is a losing coach, dispute that fact. |

| Speaking of facts being facts, I'd like to see all these posts declaring Dooley to be a saint or anything close. |

Dooley is a losing coach, dispute that fact. | There are lies, damn lies, and... stats : and... several coaches started with really bad records, but later went on to become great coaches, you can google it yourself |
