As of right now you have to think this is about the way the East looks at this moment when you analyze what each team brings back talent/experience wise and their schedule.

1. Georgia (10-11 wins)
2. South Carolina (8-10 wins)
3. Tennessee (7-9 wins)
3. Florida (7-9 wins)
5. Missouri (6-8 wins)
6. Vandy (5-6 wins)
7. Kentucky (2-5 wins)

Just like they beat us the last two years? I agree about them winning the East, though.

The game being in carolina also gives carolina no chance

Of course.

They still haven't stopped Lattimore.

I'm not so sure UGA can beat UF two years in a row either.

Hey now. I used to be an SID and I know a little more than a secretary.

Mind you, not much more.

going into the season, the team with the least amount of "issues" is south carolina.

add to that the fact that carolina expects to beat georgia, florida, tennessee, etc, etc, and doesn't just hope to win still makes carolina the team to beat in the east.

imo

I remember in 2005 we started the year #2 and finished 5-7. All this preseason stuff does not matter. UT will be on top laughing at everyone at the end of the season. GBO

The thing I don't get about Carolina is all the talk about Lattimore. I understand, the dude is a beast. But isn't he also coming off a torn ACL? Why is it that so many are hesitant about JH but expect Lattimore to return to immediate beast mode? In my glory days, I was a lineman, but I would guess an ACL would be much harder on a running back than on a receiver.

Anyway, IMO, UGA is the team to beat in the East. They have the schedule to make the run again. Hopefully, UT will make a push.

personnally, i am not worried about hunter or lattimore. i think they will both play at a high level.

guys come back from acl's better than they used to.

generally speaking, i worry more about players who suffer the injury without being hit as they seem more likely to repeat the injury.

but, i am assuming both will be fine.

south carolina has other good running backs as well.

they don't have a prolific passing game, but are more than solid in every other facet of the game.

and they don't have moments where they are stuck on stupid.....which is another big factor for me.
