| | Senior Member | Dooley asked to beat Florida, evaluate himself, and comment on the Plus One Some highlights from the Big Orange Caravan's stop in Jacksonville:
During Q&A, a lady was introducing her question, and when it became obvious where she was going, Dooley acknowledged that she (and everyone else in the room) needed Tennessee to beat Florida. He didn't provide any material that could end up on a bulletin board via youtube. He just said that when you go on a Caravan like this, at every stop, someone will say that they only need him to win one particular game. And, when he looks at it, he realizes he needs to be 12-0 to please everybody.
Here are his responses to the evening's final two questions: Derek Dooley evaluates his performance and comments on the Plus One - YouTube
The price was much higher than it was the last time the Caravan was here, in 2009, but all three head coaches had an organized autograph line, along with Condredge Holloway. The quality dinner and getting a Q&A in a small room also contributed to making it worth the 39 bucks. I think it was around 20 or 25 dollars in 2009. It was a great time both years though.
The local news couldn't cover the event without scoring a cheap pop from the large number of Gators among their viewers.
The news crew briefly stopped by to shoot video while I was in Dooley's autograph line. They teased the story by saying that Dooley was in Muschamp's backyard tonight. Their spin on the local Fox and CBS shows was that Dooley was in town looking for more area football players. On the Fox show, after Dooley's comment that there's a lot of interest in Tennessee down here, the sports anchor said, "they're interested in seeing Florida whip Tennessee." A shorter version aired on the local CBS show; this time, he didn't even mention the Caravan and just quickly said that Dooley was in town looking for more players and that "they need them, because they haven't beaten Florida in a long time."

| This is the year Tennessee whips Florida. Mark it down. It's going to happen at Neyland Stadium. |

| If UT doesn't win this year, I don't know when they'll beat us again. |

| I wonder if it's caravan rules that Bob and Dooley have to dress alike. I bet Bob waits to see what Dooley is wearing, and then throws on the same thing. Did we ever get confirmation that Bob makes his wife call him Derek and/or coach? |

The only chance, and I mean the only chance, that Tennessee might beat Florida again after this year is if Will Muschamp is Mark Richt v2.0, or, in layman's terms, he recruits top five or top ten classes every year, but because he's a ****ty coach, he never gets the best out of his players. Georgia should be every bit as dominant as Bama and LSU because they recruit about as well as they do, but Mark Richt sucks as a game day strategist, and thus he always finds himself sitting on the hot seat after two or three subpar seasons. (Strangely, just like last year, Mark Richt manages to rally the troops when his job is on the line and they all somehow play like Japanese kamikaze pilots.) |

The problem is that Bama's style of winning simply isn't "Florida Football," IMO. That said, he's not going to kill the program, because he'll keep bringing in top talent. If he ends up fired in a couple of years, there will be plenty to build on. |

That's when all the crazies come out. Surely you know about crazy people since you're a Florida fan and "The Swamp" is notorious for bringing out insanity and chaos from UF fans inside. |
