| Expansion = playoff I was just wondering what some of you thought about how the landscape of college football is changing.
I love tradition. We all know how flawed the BCS system is. Plus 1 is a small step towards a playoff system.
My thought is, if the major conferences ( SEC, Pac-16, BIG 12?, BIG 10?etc continue to expand to 16 teams. Its just obvious that a 8 team playoff system would work. Conference champs home field in first round then use the bowls for remainder round. Rotate championship game to major bowl sites. |

| I guess I'm just an old school purist, but I actually love the system the way it is. I love the drama of the BCS rankings than come out late in the year and how every game counts in the regular season. And, although I agree there are far too many bowls, I still like watching a majority of them. One of my favorite weeks of the year is between Christmas and NewYears watching some of the lower teir bowls, and building momentum to the big ones. It's not a perfect system, but the +1 model has worked so far pairing up the best 2 teams. I know it's probably inevitable, but I do love it the way it is now. |

| I'd like to see a 6 team playoff where 1 and 2 get a bye. That gives you five games which fits nicely with the major bowls.

| | Bleating Minion | Im a plus one guy and nothing more. To me it's the best of both worlds.
I wish I could take everybody under 30 that hates the BCS back to about 1989 so I could watch their heads explode in reaction to the way it was back then. The BCS accomplishes it's goal every year and is such a huge improvement that it's not funny. |

| I just think the 6 or so team playoff would be the same thing, who decides who is the 6th team to get in? 7 will be mad and probably have a good argument. |

Some teams that should make it but don't and vice versa. Can't please everyone I guess |

| already in the works, 4 team playoff beginning in 2014. all that needs to be done is voted on in june. it is all but done. this is all we need. 4 teams is plenty and they will be able to keep the current bowls as they are. |

| Plus one would satisfy me. It's not like the BCS has ever really screwed us over. We've done that ourselves. |

| I think a plus one would be fine. No more than 8 for sure. As much as i love March madness in basketball, I would hate for that to come to football.
As far as expansion, i wish they would set a limit of 12 teams per conference. No offense to Mizzou and aTm (they are great schools) but they along with Nebraska belong in the Big 12. West VA belongs in the Big East. This expansion crap is killing the regionality and many rivalries of the best sport on the planet. |

| I doubt there will ever be a true fix. There will always be those 2-3 teams that believe they should of been in it. So somebody will always complain, even with 65+ teams in basketball there are still teams angry that they got left out. |

Plus rename them. Big 12 has ten and the big 10 has 12. Colleges should know how to count, geeze . |

The Big EAST that stretches from New Jersey to San Diego and from Boise, ID to Tampa, FL. Yeah, that conference makes sense. There are some rumors that Boise and San Diego St may be getting cold feet. I pray that is true. The mountain west is as good as this pitiful Big east and travel expenses have to be off the charts to play weekly in Connecticut, New jersey, Florida, etc. |

| The 4 team that is coming is perfect IMO. That is as long as they do it through the BCS rating system and not as a selection committee or with any other strings attached.
How do you get the Bammers claimiing 13 or more national championships? By not having a playoff system. There would have been no Okie State crying, Boise State's arguments would go away every year; the Big East could go pound sand if they stayed like they are; Notre Dame would have to join a conference; etc. |
