Hindsight 20/20

Would you rather have Kippy Brown as interim coach, or follow the same path with Dooley?

As for my opinion on my own question....

I think given the circumstances that at worst Dooley will be like Zook was with Florida. Meaning, that he may not win (TBD) during his entire tenure here, but will leave alot of talent for the next coach.

I also believe Dooley can bring us out of these dark times. Expecting Dooley to be highly successful these past two years is the equivalent of expecting someone to win a drag race with a car with 3 wheels, slipping transmission, and motor missing more than just a couple cylinders. Don't get me wrong, I want what is best for our team and want us to win, but I believe what has happened the past two years has been quality training on the field. I truly believe if we stay healthy we will have a New Years Day bowl. The talent is there, depth is 100 times better, and I believe we finally have the right assistants in the right spots.

All in all everything starts at the top, and confidence breeds confidence, and I believe that Hart being more athletics and less on the department like F.A.D. Hamilton will only help Dooley.

Just hadn't heard of this topic, and its that time of year to entertain ourselves, until our Vols can give us those great fall Saturdays! !! GBO!

One thing about the last two years of Tennessee football I've learned:

New expressions in explaining a depleted roster. I've picked up 25 metaphors.

Dooley was obviously a low level target. He never gets that job in a normal situation, it was a desperation hire. Now we are stuck with him for at least 3 years no matter what. Would have just rather settled the ship used the extra time to field better candidates.

Should've done it like Ohio State did. Have Kippy run the team for a year like Luke Fickell, then hire a big name.

The only problem is, in hindsight, I still can't see Hamilton spending the money to get a good coach.

Yes. Kippy Brown is such a great HC option. Remind me of all the teams that lined up for him as their HC at the end of the season.

You can hate on Dooley all you want, but saying that Kippy Brown is a better option is moronic.

That is a ridiculously stupid question to ask. But to think you can't get someone better than Dooley once the waters calm takes an absolute imbecile that assuredly does not understand the stature of UT football. While I believe Urban Meyer is a fraud, OSU showed the way to do it. They got the person they wanted.

Interim option, for the challenged among you.

You're probably the same person that thinks we can get Bill Bilichick or Pete Carroll as a HC. Get your head your head out of the clouds, pal.

After Kiffin left, no big name coach wanted to come near our program. Atleast Dooley took on the challenge and has brought in SEC level talent ever since he has been here. If you can't give someone 3 years to try to fix the train wreck that our program was, then you should give up football and start watching soccer.

It's obvious you have no idea what you're talking about and just want to argue. You proved my point in your nonsense. No good coach wanted the job when it was offered, so we settled for Dooley. If we wait a year, settle the program, we get a good coach.

Now we're in the 3rd year of a project that has failed in its first two years. I think we'll win this year, but the fact that it's even in question is disturbing.
