| NC State Kickoff Game Like most UT fans, I think we were all a little upset to see our team get shafted a little playing the Friday night game instead of the big game Saturday. Most on here expect and want us to be at the level we once were.
However, I would just like to say that the team that had the same spot a year ago on Friday night was Baylor. RG3 was talked about as a Heisman candidate directly after that game. Also, the team got some great momentum after beating TCU, a BCS bowl game team the year before.
While history may not repeat itself in the first Heisman winner for UT, a great showing by our boys could truly put UT back on the map as a perennial top tier team. Additionally, our highlights will be shown when most people's anticipation for the season is at a high. I don't think NC State will be a push over but I don't think they can match up with us either. While it isn't the best scenario for us, I am looking forward to the opportunities for this team and the future of the UT program |

| My only concern is that on the night of the game one of my kids will come at me with a "can we have a sleep-over tonight....PLEASE?", at which point I will tell my wife "have a good time" and I will check myself into the Embassy suites a mile away and watch the game in total privacy in one of their well-appointed rooms. |

| I do not understand everyone's problem with the Friday thing.. I bet we have more viewers then the Saturday game..
Hell, when we were in the MCB vs UNC we were the 3rd highest watched bowl game.. only beaten by the big two.
Despite what the media etc.. might think because we have been down a few years. We are still one of the, if not THE highest Market for CFB. |

Getting my beers all prepared and fratting out until the glory of "Football time in Tennessee" begins. The night before im digging a mass member grave for anyone who attempts to interrupt me. |

| I think Friday night in ATL will be great! After we blow NCST out of the Dome the good times will roll until Sun morning. It will be a great warm up to the SEC Championship Game. |

Everyone around the country will be craving CFB at that point and will watch. Highlights will be played over and over leading up to Saturdays games. As good as a down TN program could ask for at this point! |

| It could also bode well for us to break that damned bad luck streak in that damned building.
My problem is that my son will be playing in his high school football game and I know there will be radios all over the place at his game.
If I have to record our Tennessee game then I don't want to know the score until I get home to watch it.
If I stay home to watch Tennessee then my son may hit me with a slobberknocker when I'm not looking on Saturday, LOL.
I think I'm damned either way.

That's a great point.........maybe I should just send my kids to their friend's houses uninvited for a sleepover so I can have the crib and my 47 incher by myself - with the wife, of course, who knows how to behave when a UT game is on. |
