| Yea, I usually pull for Peyton, I hated Elway, but loved to watch the Broncos line work together toward the end of his career. Have always and will always despise Tim Tebow no matter where he is. The Vols always come first but I am a Steelers fan, so no. And anyone who changes teams just because of Peyton was never a fan of that team to begin with.

So be it. I'll be cheering for them long after he (and his fans) leave.
I mean, Eric Berry's great, but I didn't become a Chiefs fan when he got drafted. | It's funny that you consider superbowl losing years as painful....I have been a 76er fan my whole life.....now that is painful.....I remember playing NBA jam against my friends as a kid and they were playing with all these great stars and I had to play with Clarence weatherspoon and shawn Bradley LOL |

| College Football is king! NFL is secondary. Ever since they moved the Browns I lost interest in following closely. Teams, colors, locations, traditions - they all can change in an instant. There are no true rivalries, no soul. It is greatly watered down.
Grew up Redskins fan, before Atlanta Falcons and all the sports channels they were the team of the South, shown all over the Carolinas and Tennessee. Always thought I'd switch to Charlotte if they ever got a team but I'm old school just can't change deep rooted loyalties. The name of the first little league tackle team I played on were the Redskins, so it kinda got ingrained in me.
Pull for former Vol players but that doesn't mean the teams they are playing for. My dream is the Redskins on top and all the individual stats in the league owned by former Vols. OK, I'll put the bottle down now..... |

And anyone who changes teams just because of Peyton was never a fan of that team to begin with. | Question: Why despise Tim Tebow?
Statement 1: Yes, I'm a Vols fan and resent Florida's stranglehold on my team. So when we beat them and we will, it will be all the more sweet.
Statement 2: As it was with Kentucky fans, I despise the fact we haven't managed to whip the Gators for a long time, but I do respect the fact they have a worthy opponent.
Statement 3: Tim Tebow certainly has shortcomings as any human does, namely I think he was a great college QB but will struggle as a QB in the pros. he's better suited as a power runner or TE. He foolishly rejected help with his throwing mechanics while at Florida and it is costing him. But in this age of self-center egoism, promiscuous 'tudes, and criminal minded "heroes" his distinction to be opposite of such a mess is refreshing. Hopefully, he maintains his moral compass amid the temptations of pro ball. the groupies, fame whore, and guys who insist you measure yourself by how many women you poke or even out of wedlock babies you conceive. I resent his success against my Vols but that doesn't justify hating the guy. I even admit to a little smirking when a Vol (Peyton Manning) unseated him as the starting QB in Denver. Yet I hope he has success elsewhere though I also feel sorry for him going to the Jets with that loudmouth, bad influence thing they call a coach there.

| I too am a fan of Peyton Manning and wish him well. I probably will not really become a Broncos fan though. I'll pull for Manning to do well.
I'm still a Colts fan. I was a Colts fan long before Manning came along. I used to watch Western Carolina games and they had a kicker, Dean Biasucci, who used to break the glass out of the Ramsey Center with his kicks forcing them to put a net up. I thought that was cool as a kid and became a fan. He went on to the Colts and at the time was the only pro player I had ever met and seen play live. I have been a colts fan since the early 80's and will always be a fan.
I always pull for former Vols to do well though. |

OK, I'll put the bottle down now..... | Very well put. Most people I know are 1. Redskins 2. Cowboys. 3. Steeler 4. Miami fans. That is fans other than my NFL type. It looks like the NFL is losing a bit of what they were before the changes to FA. Teams moving cities will happen in all sports. I'm not sold on parity in the NFL. FA coupled with parity seems to have weakened true allegence. |

I love football but do not feel the same way about any team. I cheer for all our NFL Vols. It is different with Peyton as I did become a Colts fan so now I am a Bronco fan. I never felt a strong tie to the Titans. I understand that can be considered as "bandwagon" esque. Since Denver has a few Vols playing for them my bond to them is that much stronger.
To my question. How many of you, that weren't Bronco fans, are now rooting for Denver? Some are probably going to be negative but am I the only one on VN that feels this way? | ^^^^^THIS! I'm down with the Broncos now. This whole Vols fans must be Titans fan thing is stupid. Were they Houston Oilers fans before they packed the trucks and moved them to Nashville?
I never understood why a majority of Titans fans hated on people here that pulled for the Colts because of Manning. Yet never talked trash about Steelers fans, Jets fans, Patriots fans, and other AFC teams etc....only the Colts fans.
To me...that seems very non VFL imo.
