| I love it. If we could only find a way to take the popularity votes out of it(impossible). You remove alot of argument like Lsu beating Stanford and bama beating the holy hell out of OSU. |

I love his last statement. Dooley Speaks on New BCS Format | No time like the present.

| My problem with the 4-team playoff is when does it become an 8 team playoff, then a 16 team playoff? |

No way. | Fade, I would have to disagree. If the playoff is based on the top 4 teams in the country, what coach in their right mind would take a chance on losing a game? There wouldn't be a lock for the playoff until the regular season is over. Then take the top four teams, 1 plays 3, and 2 plays 4. Winners play for the NT. |

| I am more of a traditionalist but since we have come this far, I'd like to see them come up with something a little better than a plus one.
I don't like the fact that we added two more teams to the SEC but since that's over with and not gonna change, I say make every BCS conference get to 16 teams. No teams allowed to be independent either. Then make every conference have a 4 team playoff at the end of their regular season. Then the 2 winners from that meet in Atlanta or wherever to play for the conference championship.
The winner of each of the 6 BCS conference championship games gets an automatic to an 8 team playoff under the current BCS bowl game format. The final two bids come from the next 2 highest ranked teams after all the conference championships are finished, period(Gives everyone a chance at those last 2 spots). Then they play the BCS 8 team playoff much like the current BCS bowl format with 2 added weeks.
This preserves the regular season because everyone will be trying to get into their conference playoff at the end of the regular season. Essentially, the regular season is the early rounds of the playoff system. The current bowl games could be preserved also from teams not in the 8 team playoff. |

| I bet in the 2014 season, UT has an incredible season, goes 14-0 (at which point they would normally be crowned NC), and then loses because of a Peterman fumble with 1:20 to go in the 15th game. |

You are talking about playing about 5 more games (if you make it to the NC game)...that would be a total of 17 games, which is way too many for college kids. |
