As for the Carolina game, you could see it coming a mile away. Last of three straight big games, including a big win over Florida (huge game at the time), South Carolina coming off a bye with Gameday in town and a matchup advantage (Lattimore vs a rebuilding Bama run D) |

Alabama was more talented at every position except qb against auburn, dl is debatable. |

But I agree with most of what you say. |

When you've never had an upset victory, you'd best minimize your upset losses. |

I see 3 games which are almost sure losses, and 3 others which seem to be questionable at best. With opponents having by weeks like Alabama's opponents had that year, I don't see much better than 7-5.

But I agree with most of what you say. | Fair enough, but seeing regression from year one to year two was unbelievably concerning.

We played them pretty well with our crappy 2010 team, but they had skills and a bye. Mississippi State should be a win but wouldn't be easy. Florida and Penn State are easy wins for any competent team.
I'd say expected record of 8-4 with 9-3 more likely than 7-5. Assuming we are competent. |

It's hilarious to watch people twist and turn and try to reason out why Tennessee hasn't been a good team for awhile.
Fulmer got lazy, Lane left too soon and Dooley's not very good. He was a rush hire by an incompetent AD. He could very well ride Bray's arm to a good season. I'll be cheering for it. |
